About

WE'RE COMMITTED TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE
A social justice organization advancing the rights of lesbians and queer women of color through cultural affirmation, education and advocacy.

Over the last twenty years, the Women in the Life Association has been committed to highlighting and addressing key women's issues.

THE ISSUES

In the current environment, our inherent freedoms, the equality of women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community are under assault daily. Hate speech against minorities and immigrants is on the rise. Hard-fought rights are being reversed, and bigotry is becoming mainstreamed and acceptable.

WHAT WE DO

The Women in the Life Association (WITLA) is a social justice organization whose mission is advancing the rights of lesbians of color through cultural affirmation, education and advocacy. Now, it's more than a mission, it's part of a movement and given it's history, WITLA is uniquely positioned to be a leader in this new movement.

HOW WE WORK

Who is better positioned to speak out for justice than an organization that's been a voice for marginalized communities for years? Long story short, the Women in the Life Association is back and we're on a mission to change the world!
